Old blood pressure monitor
€12,00
An old mechanical cuff blood pressure monitor, a sphygmomanometer, such as a Vaquez-Laubry model by Spengler.
• A khaki fabric cuff with a tightening strap to wrap around the arm.
• A circular dial pressure gauge with a graduated scale for reading blood pressure in millimeters of mercury (mmHg).
• A rubber bulb with a release screw for inflating the cuff.
• Flexible black rubber tubing connecting the bulb, cuff, and dial.
This type of vintage instrument is used to measure blood pressure using the auscultatory method (often in conjunction with a stethoscope) and is frequently found in collections or cabinets of curiosities.
