Globe weevil* Unique piece* Only 1 copy

I present to you a preserved specimen of a large weevil of the genus Cyrtotrachelus under a decorative glass globe.

A beetle from the weevil family (Curculionidae / Dryophthoridae), native to Asia. It is recognizable by its robust body, long rostrum, and very elongated forelegs.

The insect is mounted on an entomological metal stem in the center of a small (18 cm) transparent glass globe with a cork base.

The bottom inside the globe is lined with a foliage pattern and equipped with a label bearing a handwritten inscription of the genus name, similar to cabinet of curiosities displays.
