Antique apothecary jar
€45,00
It made it through the 19th century before arriving here. This antique porcelain jar, with its two entwined serpents—the symbol of herbalists and apothecaries of old—evokes the powdery backrooms of bygone pharmacies. Its inscription, Oil of turpentine, bears witness to a real past use, from a time when every bottle had a story to tell.
Empty, it is already an object. Filled with spices, salt, sand, or small treasures, it tells your story. A found piece, sold individually. 22 cm tall.
